Check out the “Heroes & Generals Trailer” by @terrytreedavid I did all the costume design and styling for recently…

SS14 Press Days are in full flow having flung open their doors to the British fashion press two weeks ago. But before I sign off due to extreme exhaustion and feet that resemble Eddie Izzard’s post 43 marathons, I wanted to let you in on a little secret that is the amazing brand Ashtiani. Upon attending one such press day last week, I came across this gem of a designer and could barely tear my eyes from the rails from which the beauteous clothing hung…

The award-winning Ashtiani was founded by Toronto born designer Golnaz Ashtiani in 2011 and since it’s launch, the label has received high praise indeed from major industry hitters, also appearing in Flare Magazine, Elle Canada and InStyle UK. A graduate of London Collage of Fashion, Ashtiani’s work can best be described as modernistic with the focus of the brand being on precision cutting. Showcasing impeccable tailoring and intriguing silhouettes in a wholly original colour palette and fabric combination, Golnaz designs with an urban cool girl in mind, inspired by a classic era. Dayum I need me some of this! Sadly, you’ll have to wait a few weeks until the new season collection drops but in the meantime you can salivate over what’s to come at

Okay okay, I admit my new-found obsession with hot New York design duo, Proenza Schouler, is perhaps starting to get a little out of control. But with a Fall 2013 collection of bags as strong as this, how exactly do you expect me to contain my excitement? There’s a style for every occasion – PS1, PS11 (in tiny, mini and classic), PS13, Lunch bags, Courier, Cross Body, Shoulder…the list goes on – with an inspired colour and texture palette to excite even the choosiest fashion eye. The Small Studded Leather Lunch Bag with pink rubberised studs, front flap and silver metal tab closure – imagine how it would pop against an all black outfit! – has my name written all over it. Prepare to salivate at the entire Fall 2013 collection available at

My lust-label of the moment has got to be Proenza Schouler. American boys Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez began working together in 2003 by collaborating on their senior theses at Parsons School of Design in New York. Widely recognised as one of the most innovative new fashion design duos, the uber-talented pair were awarded the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Award back in 2004 and, more recently, the CFDA Womenswear Designer of the Year Award in both 2007 and 2011. Erm, hello. The brand is known for its references to art and youth culture and, perhaps most famously, for its iconic ‘PS1′ bag. This AW13 laser-cut leather beauty is so incredibly easy on the eye and is my key season pick. However, it’s not quite so easy on the wallet. It’ll set you back a cool £1,965 at Browns.

Every so often, a bag so perfect comes along, that I find it impossible to forget about it…until it’s mine. The very bag I’m talking about (this week) is the Alexander Wang Pelican Satchel. Specifically, the embossed beige with gold hardware. It’s sleek, structured style is so very in keeping with Wang’s signature casually cool downtown style; drawing inspiration from the eighties, French chic and rock grunge. There’s no doubt in my mind that I’ll Take (on) Manhattan – not to mentioned Paris, Milan and London – with this bag at my side. Also available in black.

A year ago, almost to the day, I came across the work of super-talented British shoe designer, David Preston. I requested the loan of some of his boots for a shoot I was styling for NON Magazine and he kindly agreed. The results were the cover of the April/May 2012 issue and 16 pages of fashion inside. It’s safe to say that this was the beginning of a beautiful working relationship. Cut to the end of last year; David approached me about producing and styling a shoot for the re-launch of his website. Naturally, I was honoured and accepted the job. The shoot was almost two weeks ago and here’s a first peek of what to expect when it launches later this month…

Erm hello? Have you ever seen such a uber cool jacket? Thought not. BCBG Max Azria brings us this perky navarro print offering from their sizzling SS13 collection and boy, does it want to be noticed.

Gold stud detailing gives it plenty of rock edge – the perfect pairing with black skinnies, a simple luxe t-shirt (T by Alexander Wang do the best) and Western boots for a “I’m with the band” cool-girl look – and for when (make that if) we’re blessed with sunnier climes, team with a brightly coloured maxi and gladiator boots for a bang tidy festival look even Mossy will be coveting. Priced at £865 at

The Lanvin Blue New Partition Leather Shoulder Bag is beauty in it’s purest form. And don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Made of the softest calfskin leather featuring a flap-over front closure with gold-tone and enamel double push-lock fastening adjustable leather shoulder strap, this really is the stuff of dreams. And there’s more…two external open pockets under flap; one zip-fastening pocket at the back; hanging rectangular mirror with embossed logo; internal zip pocket; black fabric lining and gold-tone hardware detailing throughout to be precise. Now that’s what I call a bag. Priced at a cool £1,760 and available from

Hats off to cool New York label Rag & Bone for designing this lustful little beauty. With it’s adorable floppy brim and cute dimple top, this oh-so-wearable pecan titfer will have the fash pack fighting tooth and claw to own one. Available online or at the sole UK store on London’s Sloane Square.

Nobody kills fancy footwear quite like Nicholas Kirkwood. I’ve long since been a huge fan and really is it any wonder when the German-born shoe designer is famous for such stunning architectural quality. His innovative use of materials including devoré satin, hand-printed suede and leather, degradé fabrics, python, shaved stingray, laser-cut mirror leather, cobra and rubberised leather has led to oh-so-cool collaborations with Polini, Rodarte, Meadham Kirchhoff, Louise Gray, Preen and Manish Arora. The current season collection sees Kirkwood join forces with fellow fashion forerunners Peter Pilotto and Erdem. Phewy. He has been a busy boy. Here are a few of my stylist picks from the AW12 collection:
